On Thursday, November 14, 2013 the Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Health and Technology held a hearing titled,  Self-Insurance and Health Benefits: An Affordable Option for Small Business? The hearing was held in Room 2360 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

The purpose of the hearing was to examine the trend of small businesses choosing to self-insure the provision of health care coverage to their employees rather than purchase health insurance from insurers.
