House Small Business Committee Ranking Member Sam Graves (R-MO) today voted against a bill to raise taxes on American families and small businesses. The legislation, H.R. 4853, passed the House despite widespread opposition from 168 Republicans and 20 Democrats.
“Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy. If we want to encourage a stable recovery, we must do everything we can to help them thrive. While I strongly support a permanent extension of all current tax rates, I refuse to back legislation that would punish the very entrepreneurs we rely on to create a majority of new jobs.”
