Graves Names Rep. Joe Walsh Chair of Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access
Feb 1, 2011 -
House Small Business Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) announced today that Representative Joe Walsh (R-IL) will chair the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access.
“Joe Walsh has been working to help entrepreneurs obtain much-needed capital investments for years,” said Chairman Graves. “He is the natural choice to lead this Subcommittee as we work to improve access to capital and investigate federal tax policies that could have a harmful impact on small business growth.”
Upon being named Subcommittee Chairman, Rep. Walsh stated, “I am excited to chair the Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access Subcommittee. I am looking forward to working with the other members of the Subcommittee to address the onerous taxes and regulations that are unfairly targeting small businesses across my district and across the country. We need to help these entrepreneurs thrive by improving access to capital, and giving them the certainty they need to start hiring again. We need to help small businesses put Americans back to work.”
At this time, the Republican members of the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access include:
- Chairman Joe Walsh
- Rep. Chabot (R-OH)
- Rep. King (R-IA)
- Rep. Coffman (R-CO)
- Rep. Mulvaney (R-SC)
- Rep. Fleischmann (R-TN)
