Chairman Graves Supports Path to Prosperity: We Must Stop Spending Money We Don’t Have
Washington,
Apr 5, 2011 -
WASHINGTON— House Small Business Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) today issued the following statement in support of the House Republican Fiscal Year 2012 “Path to Prosperity” budget resolution.
“We must stop spending money we don’t have,” said Graves. “Our current path is unsustainable and will only lead to more economic turmoil. The House Republican budget changes this. The Path to Prosperity is a responsible plan that will provide certainty by cutting over six trillion dollars in spending and eliminating nearly $800 billion in taxes. It’s time to put brakes on Washington’s runaway spending habits and make common sense reforms that will spark long-term economic growth, enable small businesses to grow and get Americans back on the payroll.”
