The House Small Business Committee, chaired by Rep. Sam Graves (R-MO), today announced the schedule for the week of September 30, 2013:
On Wednesday, October 2, at 1:00 p.m., the House Small Business Committee will conduct a hearing titled The Challenge of Retirement Savings for Small Employers. The purpose of the hearing is to examine the state of retirement savings for small employers, the barriers they face in offering plans, and options for expanding coverage.
“Many small business owners do not offer retirement plans because they believe plans will be expensive, complicated and time consuming,” said Chairman Graves. “I look forward to hearing from our witnesses about the challenges small businesses face in offering retirement plans, and potential solutions for those who want to offer them to their employees.”
