The Subcommittee on Contracting and Workforce met for a hearing entitled Caught Up In Red Tape: The Impact of Federal Regulations on Small Businesses and Contractors. The hearing examined regulatory obstacles to small business job creation, economic growth, and participation in the federal contracting arena. This was a wide-ranging discussion, examining regulatory actions of various federal agencies with a specific focus on implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, several Environmental Protection Agency regulations and processes and the regulations affecting small business contracting opportunities with the federal government.
