The Committee on Small Business will meet for a hearing titled, “Now Hiring: How the Opioid Epidemic Affects Small Businesses.” The hearing is scheduled to begin at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 13, 2018 in Room 2360 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing will explore the effects of the opioid crisis on small businesses. Specifically, the hearing will examine the decline in the labor force participation rate due to the epidemic and the challenges that small businesses experience in finding qualified workers as a result.
