Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner to Testify Before Small Business Committee Wednesday

WASHINGTON, DC— On Wednesday, June 22nd, House Small Business Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) will hold a full committee hearing entitled, The State of Small Business Access to Capital and Credit: The View from Secretary Geithner.

“One of the biggest issues faced by small businesses is the inability to access sufficient credit and capital,” said Chairman Graves. “The purpose of this hearing is to review the current state of small business access to equity capital and debt financing with the Secretary of the Treasury Department. The hearing will focus on the Department of Treasury’s current efforts to assist the private sector in providing the needed funds for small businesses to grow and create jobs.”

The only witness at the hearing will be U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.

The hearing will take place in Room 2360 of the Rayburn House Office Building.  Materials for the hearing are posted on the House Small Business Committee’s website
