Rep. Mike Coffman (R-CO), Chairman of the Small Business Subcommittee on Investigations, Oversight and Regulations, appeared on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal morning show today to discuss small business job creation, the budget debate in Washington and our massive federal debt.

On Job Creation: “What we need to do is lower the cost of business in the United States, by lowering taxes and {addressing} regulatory burdens."

"...what we’re trying to do, as best we can, in the House, working with the Democrat-controlled Senate and our Democrat President, is to do what we can to lower the burdens on small business, in particular, to give them some breathing space to create jobs.”

On The Budget: “Last year, Democrats controlled both Houses of Congress and the White house and they didn’t produce a budget. So, now we are dealing with short-term Continuing Resolutions, which is a very bad way to manage government.”
