Meetings with Main Street: Vice Ranking Member Williams Met with Bennett’s Office Supply
Mineral Wells, Texas
Washington, September 30, 2022
Republican Members of the Small Business Committee understand the importance of hearing directly from American entrepreneurs, innovators, and job creators. As small businesses face record-high inflation, labor shortages, and supply chain disruptions, Small Business Committee Republicans continue to examine solutions and receive input from small business owners. This August, Ranking Member Luetkemeyer began the Meetings with Main Street Series as part of his continuing efforts to keep the Small Business Committee connected with the concerns of the nation's job creators.
“Meetings with Main Street are critical as small businesses battle economic headwinds that threaten their ability to serve their customers and expand their operations. Instead of holding our entrepreneurs back with burdensome regulations and tax increases, we must empower our small businesses with the tools they need to prosper, and Small Business Committee Republican Members have been working in Washington to do just that,” said Ranking Member Luetkemeyer
Vice Ranking Member Roger Williams (R-TX) Met with Employees of Bennett’s Office Supply.
On August 11, 2022, Vice Ranking Member Williams met with the employees of Bennett’s Office Supply located in Mineral Wells, Texas to discuss the negative impacts of President Biden’s failed economic policies such as inflation and supply chain disruptions.
“We thank Congressman Williams for visiting and learning more about our small business. Bennett’s Office Supply has over 50 years of industry experience, providing personalized printing services for clients in Cleburne, TX, and the surrounding areas. Currently, the supply chain disruptions have left us with a shortage of envelopes and computer chips necessary to run our business. On top of that, the worker shortage is making it harder to find people to work and meet our labor demands, which is effecting our daily operations. We appreciated meeting with Congressman Williams to discuss these challenges and possible solutions. We thank him and his office for coordinating the visit and appreciate his work to support local small businesses,” said Gary Bennett, CEO of Bennett Office Supply.
“Local small businesses in TX-25’s district are experiencing firsthand the negative impacts of President Biden’s failed economic policies. From the supply chain crisis, to the increase in the costs of goods, to the astounding labor shortage, Bennett’s Office Supply has faced economic challenges that have made it harder to do business and provide their services to residents. I was glad to meet with them to discuss these economic headwinds and share more on my work in House Small Business Committee to support our Nation’s job creators across the country,” said Congressman Roger Williams, Vice Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee.
