On National Small Business Week, House Committee on Small Business Celebrates Main Street’s Contributions to America

National Small Business Week Joint Statement

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Chairman Roger Williams (R-TX) along with the Republican Members of the House Committee on Small Business issued the following joint statement to commemorate National Small Business Week.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our nation’s economy and the heart and soul of countless communities across the country. They are on the front lines of innovation and job creation, accounting for almost half the payroll in our country and employing nearly 62 million Americans. The House Committee on Small Business is the voice for Main Street America in Washington, D.C., where too often, their concerns and input get overlooked. The Committee serves as a positive platform to highlight the risk-takers that bet on themselves to bring something new to the marketplace and by extension, to our country. On National Small Business Week, the Committee thanks our job creators for the incalculable good their hard work has given our country.”
