Chairman Williams Applauds Supreme Court for Curbing Harmful WOTUS Rule

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Chairman Roger Williams (R-TX) issued the following statement after the Supreme Court unanimously ruled against the Environmental Protection Agency over its implementation of the Waters of the United States rule (WOTUS).

“Today’s unanimous ruling by the Supreme Court is a resounding victory against the executive overreach perpetrated by the Biden Administration against America’s small businesses,” said Chairman Williams. “As demonstrated in our committee’s hearing back in March, WOTUS has been a disaster for our nation’s landowners, farmers, ranchers, builders, and countless other industries across the country, and the Administration’s attempt to expand this rule would have represented an unprecedented federal power-grab against private landowners. As Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business, I will always stand up for our country’s job creators against the Biden Administration’s disastrous regulatory agenda.”
