“Well, give yourselves a hand for being entrepreneurs and small businesses in the greatest country in the world!

My name is Roger Williams, and I represent the 25th District of Texas in the United States Congress. I also serve as the Chairman of the Small Business Committee. You all have oversight of me and others. We appreciate what you are doing.

What a great time to be in our country. We were just talking, just a second ago, that Thursday, I hope the House delivers. We’re lowering your taxes. We’re cutting regulations. We’re allowing 100 percent expensing for your business. Things are going to be good on Main Street. I told my people back in Texas the other day that if we don’t have a good year this year, it's nobody’s fault but our own. I think there are great opportunities ahead for us.

It's an honor to serve you. It’s also an honor to have all of you here today, and an honor to have a friend of mine, a great patriot and American, someone who gets it - someone who is a small business owner, someone who knows how to meet payroll, someone who knows how to draw on a line of credit, someone who knows how to go to the bank when you need money to keep your business going. Administrator Loeffler is here. She is a former U.S. Senator from Georgia. She is a great person, a great friend of mine, a great friend of America. It’s an honor to bring her up here to speak to all of you today.”
