WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, House Committee on Small Business Chairman Roger Williams (R-Texas), along with Representative Johnny Olszewski (D-Maryland), introduced a resolution recognizing the 72nd anniversary of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and honoring the invaluable contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners to the nation’s economy. Quote Attributable to Congressman Roger Williams (R-Texas), Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business: “For more than 70 years, the Small Business Administration has been a driving force behind the success of America’s small businesses, helping them access capital, navigate federal resources, and recover from economic hardship,” said Chairman Williams. “This resolution honors the entrepreneurs who take risks, create jobs, and serve their communities. Their spirit and grit are what keep our economy strong and our country moving forward.” Quote Attributable to Congressman Johnny Olszewski (D-Maryland): “Our small businesses aren’t just the backbone of our economy and our primary jobs-generator -- they help define the characters of our communities, sponsor local sports teams, provide gathering places and fulfill critical services," said Congressman Johnny Olszewski. "I am proud to co-lead this resolution to thank our small employers, entrepreneurs, and innovators and acknowledge the contributions of the Small Business Administration to their success. As we celebrate its 72nd year, we must renew our commitment to supporting the SBA's mission and its people." Click here to view the resolution. ### |
