On Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. the Committee on Small Business conducted a hearing titled A Job Creation Roadmap: How America's Entrepreneurs Can Lead Our Economic Recovery. The hearing began at 1:00 P.M. on March 21, 2012, in Room 2360 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

Entrepreneurs are economic leaders -- the innovators who take ideas and turn them into companies that drive the economy. Fast-growing young companies generate the greatest share of new jobs. This hearing examined the current research on entrepreneurship and provided the opportunity for Members to hear directly from successful entrepreneurs about how they started their companies and the challenges they faced. The hearing also addressed creative financing for startups, and the important role of startups in job creation and economic growth.
