Field Hearing in Colorado: The Health Care Reform Law: Its Present and Future Impact on Small Businesses and Job Creation

On Friday, March 16, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. MDT the Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Investigations, Oversight and Regulations held a hearing entitled The Health Care Reform Law: Its Present and Future Impact on Small Businesses and Job Creation. The hearing began at 10:00 A.M. MDT on March 16, 2012 at the Greenwood Village City Hall Auditorium located at 6060 South Quebec Street, Greenwood Village, CO 80111-4591.

The hearing examined the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and its impact on small businesses. In particular, the Subcommittee considered the employer mandate and how that provision will affect small business job creation. The Subcommittee also discussed the confusion and uncertainty the PPACA is causing small businesses as the law is implemented.
